The village of Puimisson (population around 1000) is a medieval 'circular' village located in the heart of the Languedoc vineyards and offers a friendly bar, tabac and a local shop/boulangerie. Boules is played in the village square on summer evenings, and there is an amphitheatre, tennis courts and wine outlets. There are beautiful views across the countryside and endless walks/cycleways through the vineyards. It's the french village of your imagination!
The beaches of the Mediterranean are 25 minutes drive south, and the mountains of the Haute Languedoc Regional Park are 20 minutes north. West is the beautiful Orb valley dotted with its scenic villages, and east is Pezenas, with its rich cultural heritage. There is plenty to discover all around.
The village is only 15 mins from Beziers/Cap D'Agde airport and approximately 60 mins from Montpellier, Carcassonne or Perpignan airports. All of these served by budget airlines.

There is a large supermarket and excellent pizzaria 5 minutes away.
Magalas (5 mins) has a bank with UK cash machine facilities, further shops, lively café bar and several restaurants.
Puimisson has it's own 'cave co-operative' and there are private domaines and wine-tasting opportunities wherever you look.
The Languedoc - Roussillon region
In addition to its endless vineyards and a string of sandy Mediterranean beaches,there are isolated mountains, river swimming, Cathar castles, and a mixture of cultures - with the Spanish border only 90 minutes away . There is also Carcassonne or the Canal du Midi within 30 minutes.
In the other direction you find forward-looking Montpellier,the Pont du Gard at Nimes, historical Avignon, the Camargue Regional Park and the gateway into Provence.
The Nearest beach is Valras Plage with superb beach front restaurants and cafés. Beach with all water sports, and children's activities. Vendres Plage is ideal for a more peaceful afternoon.
The chic resort of Cap d'Agde offers almost everything; waterside restaurants, large harbour, beaches, golf, huge waterpark, boat trips, fashionable shops, restaurants and nightclubs.
Superb seafood restaurants and 'oyster shacks' at Bouzigues and Mèze.
There is also the Roquefort Cheese Caves and the Millau Viaduct to visit for a good day out.
